Description: In recognition of Black History Month (2019) and in collaboration with the Georgia Chapters of the National Collation of 100 Black Women (NCBW) the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host When and Where I Enter: Black Civic Engagement and Political Advocacy This community workshop and dialogue celebrates the rich legacy of collective African American advancement through legislative and political advocacy by honoring the powerful history, contemporary relevance, and future of transformative civic engagement within the Black community. The mission of the NCBW is to advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment.
