Description:
In celebration of National Poetry Month, and throughout the month of April, the Auburn Avenue Research Library (AARL) will screen a variety of films and documentaries exploring poetry and the Black Theatre. This screening will be followed by a discussion.
Explore the historical contributions of the LGBTQIA+ literati with AARL's screening of The Edge of Each Other's Battles: The Vision of Audre Lorde. This powerful documentary is a moving tribute to legendary black lesbian feminist poet Audre Lorde, one of the most celebrated icons of feminism's second wave. The month’s theme has a rich and long history, which celebrates and explores the intersection, issues and literary works of Audre Lorde.
