THE MISSION

To bring black families outdoors to enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and forest bathing in an effort to #DiversifyOutdoors and encourage black families to reap the many health & wellness benefits of spending time in nature.

THE VISION

Our vision is to create an annual tradition for black families and to introduce first-time campers to the fun, adventure, and wellness that can be found in the great outdoors.

Friday Schedule

Children's Circle with volunteers and Jumpy house will be in full effect from 10 am until 7pm daily. The village will watch the children but please stay vigilant and mindful to keep an eye on your little ones!

Vendor Village will be available daily until 9:00 PM except for Sunday.

The On-Site Camping Supply Store will be available during specified daily times TBA.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

A whole vibe! Black families it's time to have some much-needed family fun, music, and fresh air! This is a primitive campsite so we recommend bringing everything you need for a comfortable camping experience including considering Outdoorsy.com or RVShare.com to rent a camper or RV with a generator and water for your 3-day experience.

The seasoned folks already know the deal! Newbies get yourself a small easy to assemble tent to fit your family and air mattresses (don't forget to bring the hand pump, generator, or that car charger port.) Don't worry we will have a few volunteers to help you with the set-up since many hands make light work.

There will be DJs, live music, workshops, yoga, reiki healers, sound healers, Massage Therapist, retail vendors, sponsors, hiking, and opportunities to fish the Oconee River just 6 minutes away so bring your gear. We are adding vendors, sponsors, and workshops daily so stay tuned to the IG page to see whose going to be joining the Freedom family in the great outdoors.

Not into camping out? Rent a room or Airbnb nearby in Toomsboro, East Dublin, Irwinton, or McIntyre. You can also enjoy a weekend-long day passes Children 10 and under are FREE. Bring your own food, adult beverages OK. Vendors will also be on site.
