About Black Books & Coffee
Jambo! (Kiswahili greeting) I am an organizer residing in Nebraska and my sociopolitical identify is New Afrikan. Given the historical context of Nebraska, which, like the rest of the country, was once "Indian territory," I am acutely aware of the impact of the Amerikkkan empire. This understanding has presented unique challenges that I have had to navigate as an individual and as an organizer. In the community, I have worked with groups such as The Liberian Community Association, Black African Family, and Black Agenda Alliance, and now Community Movement Builders.
My passion lies in the study of Black Afrikan history and culture prior to enslavement and colonialism. It has been a rewarding experience for me to gain knowledge about how things came to be. Understanding Afrikan history as the beginning pages of world history has created a positive transformation within myself in how I view myself and my community. It has given me a sense of direction and purpose in life.
In addition to my work as an organizer, I am the proud Founder of AbibiSol Business Planners, a small firm specializing in creating business plans. Our primary focus is to assist entreprenuers in establishing systems, processes, and a reliable and sustainable income stream generated from increased sales. We acknowledge the significance of a well-structured organization in achieving efficient operations, and our expertise lies in guiding our clients towards this goal.
